MACH2K User Conference Focuses on the Multi-Channel Challenge
Cincinnati, OH (September, 2005) MACH2K, the company that is Boosting Profits with Better Software, held its annual User Conference from September 12–15 in Cincinnati, OH. The theme for 2005 was the Multi-Channel Challenge - coordinating the complex combination of catalog, on-line, retail and outbound sales.
The 3-day event was designed to help clients accomplish their goals of increasing productivity, sales, market share and profits in today’s multi-channel marketing environment.
This year’s stellar lineup of Multi-Channel Industry speakers included marketing, creative and analytical consultants with long histories of improved performance by their clients. Jack Schmid, veteran industry marketing consultant, head of the J. Schmid & Associates, Inc, Specialists in Direct Marketing since 1983, was the keynote speaker discussing The Multi-Channel Revolution. Carol Worthington-Levy, winner of many catalog and retail awards now a partner at Lenser presented a session on Integrating Across Channels. And Al Bessin, with vast experience as CEO and Operations Director for several major multi-Channel merchants over a 25 year career, told how planning and metrics help clients rise to the Multi-Channel Challenge.
The 2005 User Conference also featured several current MACH2K clients speaking about their success at meeting the Multi-Channel Challenge in catalog, Internet and retail sales, operations and administration. Matt Wrhel, of Gardens Alive and Springhill Nursery, spoke on Customer Internet Account Access.
As a bonus, conference attendees visited a local client, Carson Enterprises, to see firsthand one of the latest and most intriguing implementations of MACH2K. The group took a tour of the Carson sales and warehouse facilities and observed the preparation and wrapping of 200 personalized Hershey bars per minute.
As always, there were several organized roundtable discussions each day and lots of one-on-one with other MACH2K clients during the evening festivities. Special guest third-party vendors were available for the Roundtables including, Larry Kavanagh, President of DMinSite; and Suresh and Catherine Anbil, developers of WADE, from Ohm World.
